1. Wetting agents are additives used for wetting an object with water. These agents lower the surface tension of the aqueous liquid as well as the contact angle with the base material and facilitate wetting and penetration during the coating and dipping process.
2. Dispersant or Dispersing agent is a substance, typically a surfactant, that is added to a suspension of solid or liquid particles in a liquid (such as a colloid or emulsion) to improve the separation of the particles and to prevent their settling or clumping.

Application
Metolat 364 is a non-ionic, silicone free wetting agent with low foam tendency for water based printing inks, adhesives, emulsion paints and water borne clear as well as pigmented coatings. Metolat 364 improves substrate and pigment wetting. It shows a very broad pH stability.
